Model Tabernacle

“Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them.  Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.”

Exodus 25:8-9

The tabernacle was the sacred place where God chose to meet with his people during the 40 years that the Israelites wandered in the desert under Moses’ leadership.  It was the place where the people came together to worship and offer sacrifices.

God gave very detailed instructions to Moses on how the tabernacle and the tent of meeting were to be built.  The level of detail in the book of Exodus is quite astonishing, but it can still be hard for us to picture what the tabernacle would have looked like.

Jen Allis, one of our members at Moordown Baptist Church, has a very detailed model of the tabernacle.  We are willing to lend this model to other churches and Christian organisations who wish to borrow it (e.g. for a Sunday school class).
